Morphogenesis
Leaf-venation growth by space colonization in 2D and 3D, grown inside arbitrary meshes and explored in a dashboard.
Based on Runions et al.’s venation model from the Algorithmic Botany group, using KD-trees instead of Voronoi diagrams and parameters that change over time. Growth domains compose (domain_a + domain_b) and can be any mesh. The pattern at the top of the home page is a small live version of this.
